In the brackish, cool shore waters and inner bay waters, and in the waters where rivers debouch into the sea, you may see these slim, silver-banded beauties navigating the sea grasses of New England in schools, searching together for zooplankton to eat, or maybe a tasty amphipod, or, perhaps, a young squid.
